All of us need a health check from time to time. The same applies to our “things” – vehicles, business processes, IT systems and websites are no exception.
The online world changes very rapidly and what worked yesterday may not work today. Our free website health check puts your website through its paces to see if how it’s performing in today’s world and how it could be improved.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) are the techniques to help search engines index and rank your site. How well does your site tick off the key attributes?
The speed at which a site loads is very important. People are impatient, if your site has not loaded in less than 3 seconds you've lost them.
How easy is your website for people of different capabilities to read and navigate? We adopt a simple and high level approach.
Does your website clearly say who you are and what you offer? Is it clear what customer groups you are targeting and is there a clear call to action?
The world, particularly the digital world, keeps changing very rapidly. In fact 380 new websites are created every minute of every day. So your website needs to keep evolving to keep pace with the changing environment. A website health check will identify how your website is performing today and recommendations to bring it up to date.
Your website should be delivering a benefit to your business – otherwise why have one? But is it performing as well as it should. There could be something really simple that could make a big difference. So why delay a free health check. There’s nothing to lose.
To be honest we want to meet new customers. Offering something for free is a good way to deliver you some value to demonstrate we are worth working with. Once you have the report you are free to ask us or anyone else to address any issues we find.
We are referring to Search Engine Optimisation or SEO, which is a series of techniques to optimise the way the search engines rank your site. The search engines (such as Google and Bing) send out automated “bots” that crawl the web looking for new content that they index and rank. It’s important to get on page one of a Google search as 95% of people don’t bother to look at page two!
Google’s secret sauce algorithms have about 200 ranking factors, but in our health check we just review a few of the important ones.
Having found your site through a search, the website then needs to load quickly or potential readers will lose patience and go elsewhere. Organisations such as Amazon and the BBC have conducted studies that show long load times result in lost sales or readers. One study found that 53% of mobile users leave a website if it does not load in less than 3 seconds. Load speed is also one of Google’s ranking factors.
This is part of a much bigger topic known as “accessibility” – the design and layout of a website so that anyone can use it, including those with disabilities.
We look at how easy is it for someone to navigate the site and whether it is secured with HTTPS.
When someone lands on your site you only have a few very short seconds to grab their attention. So in this section we look at how clearly you say who you are, what products or services you have to offer, what segments you are targeting and what you would like the reader to do – a call to action. All of this should be contained “above the fold” on a laptop screen or high up in a mobile display.
The section below showcases examples of the websites we work with. In many cases we have not only provided website design and support, but also other IT services to the customer. This close relationship enables us to really understand their business and deliver IT with personal care and attention.

"I was having trouble making Skype calls to my son. Both Darren and Connor were extremely helpful and patient. They were so kind to get the computer in and out of the car for me - i couldn't have done this on my own as i am disabled"
"On moving house we required help of PAAC to coordinate a tablet, PC and laptop with new security and email addresses and to ensure transfer of old contact details etc. Some of this work was undertaken by Darren in the Midhurst shop and some at our new address. Darren was professional and helpful with successful results. PAAC also followed up with care to ensure that all was well. "
"I have been dealing with PAAC IT, mostly in their Midhurst Office, but also in Haslemere, for the past three or four years. They clearly understand Macs and have given me good advice, and sorted out various issues for me. Things did go wrong with the network wireless adapters I had bought from them, but they were quick to ensure they were checked and replaced without a problem, and they followed up with me a month later to ensure all was OK. That’s good customer service!"
"Dynamite, goes the extra yard every time, reliable and essential support to my business."
"Good, dependable, brilliant, local"
"I have been using the services of PAAC IT for over two years. During this time I have found the staff to be courteous, understanding, and very efficient. I have received first class service on each and every occasion – from keeping my ancient computer running, to advising and supplying a suitable replacement when it eventually crashed. All my transactions have been with the team in the Haslemere shop where Richard, Mark, Darren and Oliver have addressed my computer difficulties with great patience and kindness. To them I am eternally grateful."
